About Us

Landsmill Group, a long-established conglomerate with a robust presence in the FMCG sector, under the leadership of the Promoters is venturing into a green and sustainable manufacturing sector in Solar through Landsmill Solar.

The Landsmill Group is establishing a groundbreaking venture in India’s renewable energy sector by setting up the country’s first fully integrated solar module manufacturing line. This pioneering project will encompass the entire production process, from raw materials to finished solar modules, including:

  • Solar Module Assembly Manufacturing Unit
  • Solar Glass
  • Solar Aluminium Panel
  • Solar EVA Sheet
  • Solar PV Bush Bar Ribbon
  • Latest Technology Solar Cells

To support this ambitious endeavour, Landsmill Group shall establish an integrated complex, which shall enable the company to:

  • Enhance production efficiency
  • Reduce reliance on imports
  • Foster innovation and R&D
  • Create employment opportunities
  • Contribute to India’s renewable energy goals

By setting up this comprehensive manufacturing facility, Landsmill Group is poised to make a significant impact on India’s solar energy landscape, driving growth, sustainability, and energy self-reliance.

Benefits to the Nation:
  1. Reduced Dependence on Imports: Self-sufficiency in solar module production, minimizing reliance on international suppliers.
  2. Job Creation: Generating employment opportunities in manufacturing, research, and development.
  3. Economic Growth: Boosting the economy through increased investment, production, and exports.
  4. Renewable Energy Promotion: Supporting India’s commitment to renewable energy and reducing carbon footprint.
  5. Technological Advancements: Introducing cutting-edge technology, enhancing the country’s manufacturing capabilities.
  6. Increased Energy Security: Contributing to India’s energy self-reliance, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
  7. Environmental Benefits: Encouraging sustainable energy production, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Growth Drivers for India’s Solar Mission

The Govt. of India is actively supporting the renewable power generation through an attractive mix of fiscal & financial initiatives, which include preferential tariff for green power, capital subsidy for RE projects and various other central & state incentives for establishing RE project.

Government Commitments

Reduce India’s total projected carbon emission by 1 Bn tonnes by 2030, reduce the carbon intensity of the nation’s economy by less than 45% by the end of the decade, and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.

Proposed Solar Cities and Parks

Solar city per state-approved and approved setting up 57 solar parks of 39.28 GW across the nation. The government is also giving a push to Floating PV Projects.

Aatma Nirbhar Bharat

PLI scheme in Solar PV manufacturing with financial outlays of INR 24,000 Cr introduced under AatmaNirbhar Bharat. Imposition of Basic Customs Duty of 25% on Solar Cell & 40% on Solar PV Modules w.e.f. 01.04.2022.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval to introduce the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme in High Efficiency Solar PV Modules for Enhancing India’s Manufacturing Capabilities and Enhancing Exports – Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The increase in installed capacity of solar module/cell manufacturing will lead to a higher demand and production of solar modules. The demand for solar modules in the country is already showing a promising trend, and it is anticipated to grow further at a great pace. There is huge demand and supply gap in the Solar Module Industry in India and import from China constitute a major component of supply.

The fiscal and monetary policy initiatives by Govt of India has set the ball rolling . New investments in solar Space are becoming increasingly attractive .

The objective of the proposed project of Landsmill Group is to tap the potential demand of the RE sector.

  • Strong Policy Push and Govt Backing for Green Energy
  • India with 300 plus days in a year of sunshine naturally and ideally suited for solar push
  • Huge Demand and Supply Gap in the Solar module installed capacity
  • Well established inflow and outflow from proposed project depicts the sufficient cash accruals and comfortable EBIDTA to fulfill company’s financial commitments to serve the interest and principal in time.
  • Sound Promoter Background and proven Track Record
  • Shortage of technical and financial Resources is a challenge at this point of time since the renewal energy is nascent phase and Capital Intensive
  • High cost in replacement of established expertise is another challenge
  • Government of India’s push for expansion of green field project serves as great opportunity to engage in this field and Renewable energy focused funding a welcome sign.
  • Strategic partnership and accelerated technical innovation & advances gives a great opportunity in this sector. Our Proposed tie up with world leader shall be a huge advantage to begin with.
  • Unpredictable fluctuation in raw material prices and high cost of skilled man power poses some threats to this sector, which however will ease out with the entry of more and more entities in this field.
